Mikala Selich, MA, LLP

Welcome! My name is Mikala Selich. I am a Master’s Limited Psychologist. I provide a warm, supportive space where women, children, teens, young adults, and college students can feel heard, understood, and empowered while navigating life’s challenges.

If you had asked me 15 years ago what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have said it was more about who I wanted to be than what I wanted to be. I always knew I wanted to be someone others could depend on—the person who would show up, listen, and offer support when it was needed most. That passion for helping others guided my journey into psychology.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, where I taught a discussion section for a developmental psychology course and volunteered at a community daycare in Ann Arbor. After graduation, I worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Technician, supporting children through individualized treatment plans. I later earned my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology, which is the degree that allowed me to become a Master’s Limited Psychologist.

Today, I have the privilege of helping others through my practice as a therapist. I work with women, children, teenagers, young adults, and college students, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore challenges, recognize their strengths, and work toward meaningful change.

I believe each person has unique strengths, resilience, and the ability to grow. My role is to help you reconnect with those strengths while building coping skills, increasing self-worth, and creating positive change at a pace that feels right for you. I will meet you where you are and support you throughout your journey.

I have a special passion for supporting women through anxiety, depression, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum experiences, birth trauma, pregnancy loss, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, motherhood transitions, and more. I have a special passion for working with children, teenagers, young adults, and college students navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, self-esteem, body image, identity development, life transitions, and more.

I believe quality mental health care should be accessible, affordable, and built on genuine connection. My approach is warm, welcoming, and collaborative, using evidence-based practices to support each client’s individual goals. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or seeking personal growth, my goal is to provide a space where you feel supported, valued, and understood.

Outside of my practice as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, taking walks with our dog, and teaching psychology as a part-time instructor at Mott Community College. I am also a birth-worker for the Christian Doulas of Michigan network.

If you feel we may be a good fit, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free 15-minute consultation and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please take care!
